Community Development and Training Activities
During the year 2024–2025, the Mass Educational Welfare Society (MEWS), Wokha carried out several community-oriented activities aimed at promoting social welfare, awareness, and capacity building among rural communities. The organization remained committed to serving society through various developmental initiatives and awareness programmes designed to empower individuals and improve livelihood opportunities.
As part of its efforts, MEWS organized a number of training and awareness programmes during the year. A Seminar on Dairy Farming was conducted in collaboration with the Veterinary Department, providing farmers with knowledge on improved dairy management practices, animal health care, and opportunities for income generation through dairy farming. In addition, a Seminar on Women Empowerment and Entrepreneurship was organized to encourage women to participate in economic activities, develop entrepreneurial skills, and strengthen their role in community development.
Furthermore, Handicraft Making Training was conducted to promote traditional skills and create livelihood opportunities for rural women and youth. The training helped participants develop practical skills in handicraft production, encouraging self- employment and income generation.
Through these activities, MEWS continued to contribute towards community development by promoting awareness, skill development, and sustainable livelihood opportunities among the rural population.
